Today my friend and I ventured out into the extreme heat (Can you tell I’m 100% ready for Autumn?) for a flower-picking adventure. Burnside Farms is a place that I had always heard about and seen pictures from but I had never actually went. Each season they grow a different crop in their fields. Sunflowers, pumpkins, Christmas trees, tulips, and more. It’s a $4 fee to enter with an additional very low charge for each flower you pick. If anyone lives in the area, I would definitely recommend going! They sell cold drinks and have a nice shaded picnic area as well. I wish I could include a picture of my finished flower arrangement that I put together once I got home, but today I learned that I would not be a good florist.
Find WW&W on Facebook here.
That place looks so cute!

You would make a perfect florist. Don’t sell your flower arranging skills short.

I’d love to find somewhere like that. Not warm enough for crops of sunflowers where I am though!
Lovely post!

Thank you! Though right now I’d be incredibly happy if I was in a place that wasn’t this warm, haha 🙂

That looks so pretty! There’s a sunflower farm close to where I live that I just took pictures in and I’m in love with sunflowers now! Sorry your flower arrangement didn’t work out; I feel the same way haha 🙂

I saw the photos on your blog and it looks like a very similar place! Yours seems to have taller sunflowers though (and more of them), which works great for a photoshoot! Yeah, flower arranging was so hard. I just couldn’t get it the way I imagined it in my head, haha 🙂

That sounds so lovely, I don’t think we have things like that in NZ.. pick your own fruit sure, but not flowers unless you think about picking up all the wildflowers on either side of a busy highway.
