Happy Halloween! A few months ago is when I first heard about RedditGifts. It’s a worldwide Secret Santa-type exchange that takes place every month and I’m not sure why more people aren’t talking about it. Each round there are ten different exchanges you can choose from – you can sign up for as many as you want as long as you have earned enough credits.
Because it was my first time trying it out, I warily (and also excitedly) signed up for the Trick Or Treat exchange. A week or so after registering is when you receive your match. You get their username, a (hopefully) filled out questionnaire, as well as any social media links they included. The suggested spending limit is $20 for most exchanges so after snooping through their information you then need to decide what to buy.
Here is a quick overview of some things that I got for my match. I sent his adorable dog some treats too which I hope is appreciated. I haven’t heard anything back as of yet, which is pretty unfortunate. You’re supposed to upload a photo with a thank you message to the gallery as soon as you receive the package.
After adding some final Halloween touches and getting everything packaged and shipped off, I had to anxiously wait for my gift – and I really had no clue if anything was coming. The person you send to is not the same person that you are receiving a gift from. You’re able to enter tracking information once it’s sent so the other person knows but mine never was entered so I just had to have faith in the Secret Santa world. I was surprised when I came home from work one day to a box on my doorstep filled with a bunch of different candies. Did you know that pumpkin spice latte M&M’s exist? What a time to be alive. I’m so happy with the outcome and I’ll definitely be participating again in a future exchange. As you can see, I was so excited to try everything that I had to rip into some bags before even snapping the pic.

Hey, thanks for checking out my blog! I love your pictures. I was reading some of your past posts and must say, I’m very jealous of the skydiving adventure. Definitely one of my bucket list items. Keep exploring!

Sounds like fun! A bit Mike postcrossing but more expensive and sweeter 😁

Everything is! I’m just glad I actually got sent something instead of being scammed, haha 🙂
