My mom and I’s trip to the Magic Kingdom is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited. Even though it’s going to be a super quick vacation, it’s desperately needed. But until then, I’m going to combine what should be two separate posts and share my four favorite rides from Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Yes, only four rides. These two parks don’t have that many rides and when I went with my family I was too scared to ride the “big” ones such as Expedition Everest or Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster. How upsetting is that? A good reason to go back, I guess. Anyways, that’s why I’m lumping the parks together as one. Out of the rides I went on, there are only four that I loved enough to make the countdown. Let’s do this! Also, look forward to sometime in the future when I’ll tell you about my favorite shows, favorite places to eat, and some of my LEAST favorite attractions at the parks.
4! Studio Backlot Tour – Hollywood Studios
I didn’t know this until today but apparently this ride is now permanently closed. I can’t remember too much about it other than it was a “tour” of what it would look like behind the scenes at places such as Warner Brothers or Paramount studios. There was a lot of water and fire. I got to go on the actual Warner Brothers tour when I was in Los Angeles and I loved it so I’m assuming I loved this ride as well. It’s been a while.
3! Toy Story Midway Mania – Hollywood Studios
Who doesn’t love Toy Story? This ride is super fun because it’s a competition. There are four people to a car and multiple games you can play throughout your journey with the built-in shooters. The person with the most points at the end is victorious. Plus, it’s adorable.
2! Kilimanjaro Safaris – Animal Kingdom
It’s not a secret how obsessed with animals I am. I would love to get the chance to go on an actual safari in Africa… but for now this is a little bit closer and a little less life-threateningly terrifying. Elephants, hippos, lions, and tigers galore.
1! The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror – Hollywood Studios
So I must admit that I’ve only ridden Tower Of Terror at Disneyland but I’m assuming that other than the shape of the buildings, the one in Disney World is pretty much the same. I absolutely love this ride. It took me years to convince myself to go on it and even longer for me to convince my mom to come with me. After falling from 10,000 feet up, I figured I could easily do this ride. It wasn’t scary at all and the weightless feeling you get is one of the coolest feelings in the world. Just hope that your seatbelt doesn’t come unbuckled.

I was on that Hollywood tour so many years ago, in the late 70’s, I recognized the big truck…it was a fun tour I can’t remember which move lot…but Telly Savalas (Kojak) came out and said hello to everyone at the end of mine…he was even sucking on a sucker…I am sure he was paid handsomely for making an appearance for us…LOL ….thanks for memories I hadn’t brought forward for many, many years….have a great time with your mom….lots of pictures please…!!!

Yeah, I can’t remember too much about the tour either and it was only about four or five years ago for me. No fair! I don’t think we had anyone come out at the end of ours, haha. Or maybe I just didn’t know who he was. Thank you for your lovely comment. I’ll be sure to take tons of photos! 🙂
