In Review: Get Hard

TL;DR 3.5/5. Worth the watch if you’re just looking for a laugh.

I’m going to keep this review pretty short. My brother has been waiting for this movie to be available for rent for what feels like months now. It was just recently released so my family and I sat down to watch it tonight. I’ve got to be honest when I say that I really only enjoyed the middle section of the movie. The very beginning was dull and while the very end was happy, the scenes before those bored me. Maybe that’s because I’m not a huge fan of action scenes when watching a comedy. I’m very picky so take these comments with a grain of salt. The whole middle/rest of the movie was hilarious though. There were some parts that had me almost in tears from so much laughter.

It’s no doubt that Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart are two of the funniest people in Hollywood right now so of course the movie was entertaining to watch, just don’t go into it expecting it to be the next big Oscar winner.
